Signing of a Collaboration Agreement with the private joint-stock company Master-Kompleks

On 26 September 2001 an agreement was signed between the private joint-stock company Master-Kompleks and the State Hermitage. This is the first agreement within the framework of a programme being implemented by the museum to reorganize public catering in the Hermitage. The premises of the café for visitors located in the Rastrelli Gallery, the staff canteen and the buffet serving theatre-goers will be refurbished, the quality and range of foods on offer will be improved and a better standard of service provided to those using the facilities.

The Hermitage has planned the opening of an Internet café with 30 computer stations for December 2001. Museum visitors will be able to access the Internet and use e-mail services while enjoying a cup of coffee. The museum's plans also include creating a top-quality restaurant.
